I pulled Ingrid out of the sale at Kalona in August 2021. She had many infected cuts on her face as well as a bad respiratory infection. Ingrid was in her mid 20s and I planned on her living out her days with us here at Kyhlwood. Once she was healthy she joined the lesson program and although didn’t love working super hard she really did love having the kids fuss over her. I was contacted by a family looking for a confidence builder for their son. I decided to let them look at Ingrid because she would get even more attention and wouldn’t need to work quite as hard. They decided to make her part of their family and took her home. Unfortunately just a few months after getting her home Ingrid passed away from what was believed to be an issue with her heart. I know her family misses her terribly and even though we only had her a short time she was loved by every single person she met.
