Oliver came in with Holly from a lady in Northeast Iowa. He was underweight and sore everywhere. After a lot of work with our vet we discovered that Oliver was positive for Lyme’s disease. Once we started him on treatment his lovely, goofy personality came out. He was on stall rest to receive IV antibiotics for about 45 days. His always had his mini babysitter/companion Nugget with him. He loved to be loved on and was always looking for snacks. Once he was done with treatment we were able to hit the trails with him and he was a FABULOUS trail gelding! He loved the trails and would go over, under or through pretty much anything. In September of 2020 the cousin of a long time client and friend bought Oliver to use as a trail horse. He was very well loved and very well taken care of. After a few years he began having issues of the Lyme’s flaring up and his family decided it was in his best interest to euthanize him before he took a serious turn down hill. He left this world knowing that he was loved up until the very last breath.
